FAQs

  • Each session includes on-ice instruction covering skating skills, jumps, and spins. Skaters are grouped by level to ensure they’re appropriately challenged.

We incorporate a variety of exercises, including updated IJS content, leveled spins, and innovative training methods—such as pole harness work and off-ice conditioning where applicable.

  • KC Elite is the only program in the Kansas City area offering a full hour of structured on-ice instruction in our advanced academy.

Beyond technical training, we focus on collaboration, accountability, and building community—ensuring each skater grows in confidence, performance, and mindset.

  • Our program is designed for skaters who are committed to progressing in a competitive environment. Skaters must be a club member to participate. Currently we partner with KCFSC, Heartland FSC, LCFSC, and St. Joseph FSC.

  • Training takes place weekly:

    • Monday evenings from 5–6 PM at Line Creek hosted by LCFSC. This class will run through August.

    • Saturday mornings from 11:15 AM–12:50 PM at Independence Community Ice. Staring 9/6.

    • Thursday afternoons from 4:20-6p at KCIC starting 8/14

  • Skaters of various levels are welcome, but must demonstrate the focus, work ethic, and desire to grow in a structured environment. We divide skaters into training groups based on skill level so they’re properly challenged and supported. We recommend skaters be attempting axels and have passed LTS Freeskate 6. This program is designed for skaters who have completed LTS and Aspire programs. Adults are welcome and encouraged to join! We suggest being at the Adult Bronze level or higher.
